Alright so between doing appointments and getting Dakota from school and to volleyball and having a small personal life ( yeah right) somewhere I have to cook. Well I have had a small hotplate, pans and dishes to cook in my toaster, but I have to say the the RICEPOT is one of the best cooking tools ever!!!!!! You can cook food and warm up food, it’s only just a little slower than a microwave
a few things I’ve made
chicken soup
~threw chicken breast tenders in with vegetable broth and short spaghetti noodles
mushroom chicken w brocolli
~a can of cream of mushroom soup, chicken breast tenders and frozen broccoli
sort of spaghetti meatballs
~tray of ground beef made into balls, spaghetti sauce and rigatoni noodles
~random notes~

now….here’s my latest story.
we went to JJ Dolan’s for pizza,(which by the way is realllllly good) with dakota’s friend and her mom, it was my idea since dakota’s friend is always so nice and let’s her borrow lunch money since dakota’s mom is such a good mom and forgets to give her money! anyway.
pizza was great as usual and company as well. we sat there enjoying and talking, talking and enjoying, i had parked in the lot diagonal from JJ dolans, it’s expensive like heck, but i went around a couple of times and really couldn’t find any parking.well i ended up going out there to put in another $4-5 since my first hour had passed, all is well as we still talk and enjoy, enjoy and talk, then it dawn on me, yikes!!!!! i’m over the time limit again, by this time it’s close to 10:00p.m. and we better leave any way. bye, bye, hug hug…….o.k.? where is my car? did someone steal it? did i really park it here? yup…. it was towed!!!!
o.k o.k. i was about 30 minutes over the time limit, but geeez! so this story gets worse.
i call the other mom, “hey, they towed my car, could we catch a ride?” of course, she’s in shock, but she was so nice, she was very defensive for me and was i think more upset then i was.
well we get there on sand island access road #2. you know it’s bad when it’s not just sand island access road, it’s sand island access road #2. we proceed to the guard gate, where…ONLY ONE PERSON CAN GO PAST THIS POINT ON THIER GOLF CART IN THE DARK, YUP, NO STREET LIGHTS, IN GHETTO LAND, ONE COULD DISSAPEAR HERE AND NEVER BE FOUND, YEAH, CAUSE THEY HAVE YOUR CAR, WHO KNOWS THAT THOUGH! WHO KNOWS IF THEY REALLY HAVE YOUR CAR! well dakota’s friends mom was not going for that at all, she asks to follow, they hesitate and say it’s o.k., which by the way i spoke to another girl just today, young girl, in her 20′s she knew exactly what i was talking about and they would not allow her boyfriend to come or follow and she had to be the one not him becasue she was the registered owner. WELL THIS IS GETTING TO BE A LONG STORY RIGHT? BUT ANYONE WHO HAS A YOUNG ADULT SHOULD CONTINUE TO READ!!!!!!! we go right, left, right right and left in the DARKNESS behind some large shipping containers ad finally end up at a small lot of fenced in cars, still no lights, i have to sign the towing guy’s paper in the light of his truck. There isn’t even a office, this is worse than what you see in the movies! I ask to check out the car before signing, I forgot my flashlight!!!! dang! of all days!!!, well he says i’ll turn on the lights, the light is shining towards the back of the squished in cars from the far corner. it starts to rain as i tell him i really can’t tell if there is any damage, it’s just too dark, at this point i just want to get out of there which i would guess a lot of people feel. i sign, pay my $145 and we leave in the darkness, we ask him to lead us out, and he reluctantly “sort of” does. It was an eye opening experience. Please tell your kids, don’t be afraid to call you if they get towed, it is SOOOOOOOOO DANGEROUS!!!! Whatever you see in the movies, it’s 100 time worse than that.

THIS PART WAS WRTTIEN IN APRIL:
well time is going along so fast it’s hard to believe!
~first let me tell you the trama i had,……. whew!
gnocchi and i were in the yard and she was playing around, i saw her scratching in the
dirt and so i went to look, she was playing with a bee! well the bee had no stinger and there
it was above her lip. i got in the car and took her to the vet 5 minutes away, she seemed perfectly fine, but off we went. she was excited to see the other dogs at the vet and she
was wagging her tail, we got in the examination room and all of a sudden she started unusually
quiet, by the time dr. shoji came in which wasn’t that long, she couldn’t stand up and just lay on the
table closing her eyes, he checked her heart and it was down to 70bpm, o.k. we’re still really
sad about miso and this is the same doctor, he knows and he looks worried. well gnocchi is fine after having an epinephrine shot, cortisone and antihistimine and about 8 hours later. but……..thank you jan! if one of you had not shared your experience you had with your doggie going into shock, i would have never thought to take gnocchi in to see the vet. THANK YOU!!!! but i am sharing especially since a lot of you have doggies too!!!
Gnocchi lost her hair on her back, it just started to fall out and then regrew to a shiny balck patch that kinda looks like wings, or a heart, awwwwww. So…….. I did not dye her hair!

Gnocchi is her playful self ,loving her pbutter and looking curly as ever.

we were suposed to go to japan 6 days before the earthquake and tsunami, i am thankful that we were not there when it happened and i think about it daily. many of us love japan, and i know you feel the same when i say my heart is so sad for the losses of the people. i continue to feel such heartfelt stories though, it is truly amazing, some indirect, some from you guys and some from past clients that are living there, i keep hearing that there is a connection between the people, that they are caring for each other, it is amazing.
all the reservations made were refunded completely, with sincere notes attached back with the confirmations from japan, japanican (ryokan in yamagata, right next to sendai), park hotel tokyo ,
global advance communications ( mifi or wifi rental in japan) along with american company
american express travel( another hotel) and last but not least hawaiian airlines who at first i was a little questionable, but in the end they came through! yeah hawaiian airlines!

i’m looking for one to practice on, i just started to take lessons at KCC with Kenny Endo’s school. I have convinced one of you (jill) to take lessons and she loves it too!i actually have wanted to take lessons for a long time, life is short!!!!! i love it!
at first i was in “ego” the thought went through my mind like…..”when i hit the drum will everyone see the flab on my arms vibrate like a hummingbird?” “what if i keep drumming long after everyone has stopped and when i finally look up, everyone will be staring at me like i’m crazy?” “what if im so good they ask me to be on performance team and i’ll have to quit doing eyebrows and go on tour?”
well……
while my arms do vibrate, no one seems to notice since they are looking at their drums,
sometimes i’m drumming when others stop, but i just chuckle to myself and everyone seems to ignore the fact that someone doesn’t know what the heck their doing.
and so far no one has noticed my extreme talent so i can still do all of your brows.
anyway, i passed by my ego head and i am loving it!

use the tip, not the side unless you want to look like a racoon,
after applying, soften with a nice dark brown shadow with the tiny angle liner
brush. for liner on the bottom, just dot lightly and again apply dark shadow over

don’t believe it when people tell you things get easier as your kids get older, the challenges just change,
no more running to the toilets for potty, just running to the car to drop your kid off at their next function, practice or school.
no more worrying about them falling and getting scrapes, just worrying about what a “boyfriend” or “girlfriend” really means to them
yup it just gets different, someone has to tell you the truth!
anyway….

~thank you suzanne!!!!, for the tip about the white flies that were sucking the life out of my eggplant plant, dawn dishwashing liquid mixed with water, spray it all over, and my plant revived!!! well survivied, but according to wendi, you have to make sure you dilute the mixture enough or you’ll have death by drowning and suffocation, one or the other, i know it was something dramatic like that.

p.s. did anyone try my home made blue ice recipe????? i’m serious it really works!

so i promised to keep up and i’m trying but alas i am falling behind once again, but don’t give up on me!!!! cause i still have many random things to say!
~so…… here is courtney, newly married on july 31, thank you courtney for sending in your photos, ( i asked) i welcome the photos and ask that you pleeeease send some in!!!!!! after these 26 years of doing makeup i have not collected any photos of my brides…. gee whiz! so….hint hint, please send your fav photo in, of course it may take me awhile to post it, but i do eventually get around to it!
~those eyeliner pencils i used to have…..so that was a good pencil cause it didn’t run, hard to come off, but what a hassle to get! i won’t have them anymore. sorry! but i am on the quest to find just as good or better.
~ice packs for lunch, so i had a brainstorm of an idea, of course because i have nothing else to do or think about ( like all your guys emails) but this was actually a really good idea and i’ve been doing it now since school started. I use that floral gel that you get from the craft store, make them gel like (soak them in water) and put them in a freezer ziploc bag and
freeze flat. you now have a ice pack for lunch ect.
1-it’s much lighter
2-you can make them any size
3-with one package of those beads you can make about a thousand milliion ice packs, well
maybe not that much but really alot, of course i made a lot since i can never guess how much gel you get with such a small amount of those beads!
4-it’s non toxic-i’m no scientist but that’s what it said when i researched it on the internet
(if i start growing a 3rd eye, you’ll know why)
5-if it leaks nothing is blue , just replace the ziploc bag once in awhile ( yes yes not totally green) green…. blue…. heheheheh!
so you ask how did i know? well just one of those things in my head and then i looked it up and found that they use that method to transport flowers long distances.
well gotta answer some emails now. tata!

yes as most of you know my miso chan will be meeting me in another life. it’s been a learning experience in so many ways. thank you for all the love she enjoyed it! . i know now she’s happy running around with my dad. hopefully she can help me to guide this “very different” puppy, “gnocchi”. yes she is a potato pasta, pronounced “nyokki. sorry in advance for her sometimes crazy behavior. she likes people, but other dogs…..sorry in advance again, the other day all i heard was a growl and then scared dog parents looking for damage to their doggies tail , a week before that she jumped on top of one of your dog carriers, with the dog in it!!!  i will try to get her socialized, somebody said she gotta be put in her place….yikes! for now, best to keep your doggies safe from the beast. i did set up play area outside, but i wonder when that’s ever going to be used!

miso never smelled (gnocchi smells about an hour after her bath, i’m serious) her ears always stayed clean(gnocchi’s ears are dirt magnets), she stopped barking when i said stop(gnocchi looks at me and says to herself what the heck!),  miso wouldn’t bark if she heard the next door neighbor’s dog barking (gnocchi barks when i burp), she would get up only when i did (gnocchi could care less if i’m up and sometimes if she’s up before me she makes it known), miso was free to roam the house all day all night with no problem ever(gnocchi may never make it out of the kitchen). she’d smell flowers (gnocchi eats them) miso knew when i was going home and would be ready to go as soon as i was ready ( i have to capture gnocchi) oops miso made a little fart (we have to evacuate when gnoochi decides to let it out and that is everyday at least once or twice) miso’s little doo doo’s could be flushed (gnocchi uses the entire paper and then some, i think there is more doo doo than food that i fed her)! not to compare, but there is no comparison. miso was not a dog, but i love our new DOG gnocchi.

here is a photo of the “beast” yeah, really don’t let her looks fool you. and yes, she really is a poodle, not a mix, just poodle. oh yes and those of you who came when her name was poha, we changed her name, it’s no wonder she’s confused!
